One of my favorite families has a little girl and she just turned three. It’s crazy how quickly kiddos seem to grow…especially when you’ve been photographing them since the newborn stage. I so thankful my friends don’t get mad at me when I cause them to get rained on during our session and then they are more than willing to schedule part two without hesitation! Alyssa is no stranger to two part sessions though…that is exactly how her newborn session went (only without the rain).

Even though Matt and Kristene currently call the state of Texas home they are originally from the Midwest and were married here surrounded by their closest family and friends. I knew when I met them during their engagement session that they were going to be great to work with. They said their vows at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Belleville, IL and celebrated the night away at The Falls in Columbia, IL.

There truly is nothing that can compare to photographing a newborn baby. The happiness and unconditional love that surrounds them and the amazing and thankful family that welcomes them home is incredibly heartwarming. I absolutely love photographing brand new families and this one was absolutely perfect!

I’m incredibly excited to introduce this sweet little man Dylan (and his Mommy and Daddy) to my blog today!! He gave his Mommy the perfect present and made his debut on Mother’s Day. Usually newborns this new sleep a lot…and as long as Dylan was snug tight in his Halo sack he was fast asleep! Since it was important for us to get a few photographs incorporating a few special items into his session we tied removing it…he did not like it one bit!! So what did we do? We, of course, put it right back on!!! Newborns run the show.

In my opinion, one of the best ways to photograph a family is inside their home!! Another bonus is being able to pop outside to photograph the kiddos where they (more than likely) play the most. I’m incredibly excited to finally get this sweet family on my blog! I had so many images I loved from their session and really had a hard time narrowing it down…so I didn’t! I LOVED photographing them…especially since I’ve been friends with the Mom for quite some time!! I wasn’t fibbing when I said my friends make the most gorgeous families on earth!

Incredibly excited to share that Ashley and Aaron’s gorgeous St. Louis wedding was published in The Knot Missouri and Kansas Fall/Winter 2013 issue. It’s such an honor to be featured in a magazine and I couldn’t wait to share the news here! The wedding was crazy gorgeous and a huge thanks needs to be given to all the amazing vendors that helped make their wedding day amazing!
